Steve - you would loved the day, nd Scowly was so happy and smiley as she used my ol' Pentax K1000....

Did you do a silent Sunday because someone told us to shut up ? Did you see that ??? Just because some people live in igloos in the lands of snow and ice where the polar bears roam their backyards, they want us to be quiet about the wonders of Spring and Summer ?!?

So, that's the Scowly teen at work there ? Can't quite see if she's scowling or not. Looks like a lovely garden though, a fine place to walk off the hangover after a bit of Tuesday tippling which carried over into Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday... truly a case of "silence is golden"...

Gorgeous! I can almost smell the perfume. Looks like the flowers even won over Scowly Teen! We are nice and toasty warm here as well but alas, the desert has no such brilliant display of flowers. Hopefully we'll get a splash this spring of desert blooms.

PS: The bird was a hummingbird though I do not know what kind of hummingbird. Looks a lot bigger in the photo than in real life.

BrOwen - I noticed that our sister told us to be quiet in less than lady-like terms! Scowly was happy and smiley for this trip about our Botanic Gardens, we even stumbled across a brass band playing while there. No hangover either, I'm a failure (Betty).

StickUp- It was a rather greyish day mostly but very warm. I don't think we have humming brids down here, so is it a case of "You hum and I'll sing?"

Adrian - Dahlias and daisies, and of course roses in the rose gardens. We could smell the rose gardens before we saw them, it was great!

Thanks for exporting your lovely garden - I hate gardening personally, but always enjoy other people's!

Scowly looks as lovely as the blossoms she's so intently focused on. A prickle-free rose--for once!
