I recommend you read these...

Quirky and fabulous, I love 'homegrown' literature. One of my dear friends died recently, she was a fantastic author and inspired me very much.
RIP Mrs D!

I still get blown away by NZ writing! I love how it speaks to my inner being, & also, it speaks my 'language' which other authors don't quite reach.
I am so homesick!
I have been phoning Chch friends just to listen to the accent!!

Meggie, my dear, I do hope you're 'fighting fit' again soon. Haha, accent? What accent? (:-)

May have to look on Amazon, a friend years ago stayed 6 months in NZ and brought me a back an amazing collection of short stories by NZ writers...

I might give her a try....always on the look out for good books, Sag.

It might stop me spending too much time on the Internet.

Who has time to read anymore, now that we blog ?

Actually, I've been trying to reclaim some of my life from blogging of late, and actually read an entire book this past week in my many spare hours... am planning on blogging about it, it was a pretty good book...

Oh look there is Meggie. I have lost touch with Meggie. I must deal with that.

You know what, Saggy - I am reading a book. A whole one. It is the first time I have read a whole book in several years. I have only about a tenth of it to go.

I would try some of your books but I have a pile on my bedside table that i have to read first. And at the rate I am going (it has taken me over a month to almost finish this one book) it'll be a year before I finish those.

In fact, I bet Steve's book will be published by the time I finish those and I will have to read that hot off the press.

Steve - email me if you get stuck, am happy to send you some?

Villager - Oh good luck with keeping off the 'net!

Owen - It is hard trying to fit in all the activities eh? I do love a good read, but it's hard to snatch a few hours by myself these days. I get a lot of reading done while I travel with work (except when I drive, flying is good!)

rb - I'd be happy to read Steve's finished product! I also have a pile of books waiting for reading, I seem to have about 5 half read scattered about the house...
