Not so Silent this Sunday

I am breaking my silence today to ask you all a favour.

I have some friends in big trouble. My friend is the Safety Manager at this place, and he has one son who managed to get out but another son still trapped. Also, as you have read there has been another tragedy to strike this family.

I also have another friend who works there, and I haven't heard from him so no idea if he is trapped or away on holiday.

Please send warm fuzzies, prayers or whatever is your bag to this community. We lived in Greymouth while growing up, and it is indeed a small but feisty place. I visit there for work these days and I love it. You can smell the coal dust in the air, it gets into your blood. I took the photo below on a road heading towards where the mine is.

Thank you.

Sending prayers and all good thoughts your way and to all the families caught up in this. Fingers, toes, every thing crossed for good news.

Our thoughts are with you and all your close ones. As soon as I saw it on the news I was thinking about you, and wondering if you work would have taken you there, clearly it has.

I think the expression : "It never rains but it pours" could apply. You certainly didn't need any more calamity, and now this...

Hang in there sister Saj, crossing my fingers for the missing.

Hoping that the same hand that brought the Chilian miners to safety is extended to your friends and their colleagues.

I read about this and thought of you right away. I had hoped you were not so closely touched by this tragedy. Please accept my prayers and thoughts and hope with all my heart there is a good outcome for the missing, their families and friends.

Oh yes, I am. So horrible.

I did wonder if you knew anyone when I saw exactly where the place was on the news.

So horrible

Thank you all very much, this is such a difficult time for everyone involved. We're hoping the rescue can start today, weather is better but it depends on the gas levels within the mine, the rescuers have to be kept safe as well.

I, too, thought of you and hoped perhaps this was one tragedy that mightn't touch you directly, personally, heart-breakingly on top of all else you've been through this year. I am wrapping you in warm and comforting vibrations, as best as I can, and mentally holding your hand. Of course, this blanket of hope extends to the families and friends of the miners and the men trapped down there. I am wishing for a happy ending.
