Lava Lamps
Vodka jelly shots in champagne.
Serves: 4 (or 1 greedy guts)
1 packet of jelly crystals
1 cup (250 ml) boiling water
1 cup (250 ml) vodka
1 bottle (750 ml) champagne, chilled
Preparation method
Mix the jelly crystals with the boiling water and stir until dissolved. Let cool a little then stir in the vodka. Pour the liquid into 4 small paper cups or other small containers. Chill until set, at least 2 hours.
Pour champagne into glasses. Break up the jelly with a fork, and pour into each glass of champagne. A little stir gives it some 'lava' action. Oh come on, it's not that gross!!

The grossness might depend on the flavour of jello.
but either way, it would be fun to create and look at!
your country seems to be a natural wonder of all sorts
:(
Glad to hear you don't knock 'em back boiling hot!
I'll have one, but without the lava, please: It gives me heartburn.
We used to have lava lamps in the '70's. We didn't drink them; just chilled out under their psychedelic glow.
Love and peace man
Hmm, I'm never very good at processing stuff. Maybe, like Louciao I'll just put the vodka in the champagne ...
PS Send me pic of your mysterious purple flowers and I'll see if I can identify them.
I just came from my blogger reading list where I saw this recipe. Goodnight Nurse! I gotta make me some of these. There's a lot of champagne drinking going on around here lately and this would be a fun new thing. Thanks!
Even though coughing for the last three days, sound alluring. Please have you all a good Friday.
