Still no progress on the house - the lawyers are slugging it out.
It's enough to drive ya to drink...plus the house we have been renting in the interim (we call it 'interim' but it's been almost 2 years) is now going to be put on the market so we have to pack up and move. Hope the weather plays ball this weekend cos it won't be much fun shifting in the rain or snow!

What's the difference between a lawyer and a leech? A leech doesn't charge you for drinking your blood.
Oh Wow, you still are fighting over your house after all this time!?!! I'm so sorry to hear that. I guess it must be the insurance company you have to fight? Bureaucrats must be the same everywhere: talk, talk, talk, but nothing ever gets done! Hope they exhaust themselves and things go your way soon.
Will any settlement include compensation for the sheer inconvenience and added trauma you've had to suffer these last 2 years and more?
Steve - good call!
StickUp - It seems the insurance that you think you are paying for is not exactly what they will pay on! So yes, you are correct in your observations about them (as is Steve)...
Marg - It is certainly something we have spoken to our lawyers about, I should probably have kept all those receipts for the wine as well...
Oh dear, I hope this house saga is not driving you to drink! There seem to be an awful lot of posts featuring alcohol! ;- )
Seriously I wouldn't blame you if it had. This stressful situation has gone on far too long. All the best. Lx
