Brisbane to Sydney and back

I have gained a newfound respect for the typical Aussie sheila. How she can get her make up on, leave the house and arrive at her destination, without the makeup sliding down her face arriving resembling a circus clown, is quite beyond me! I salute you all.

It is 4pm and still 30 degrees.

We had a ball in Sydney, dragged the kids to the Taronga Park Zoo and the Aquarium (saw Dugongs up close!), ventured by ferry to Manly Beach...blogger doesn't seem to like the PC I'm using so photos will have to wait!

I'm sorry to have been remiss in visiting all the usual blogs (and I do miss you all) but it is hard to get PC use...there are 2 teenagers in the house we are visiting with. Plus 2 spoilt cats (Rag Dolls actually). I miss my own bed but am getting a nice tan!

Send the teenagers out to work - as a grown up the PC is yours by right! glad you're having a good time despite the immense heat!

Anyway, holidays are too good to waste blogging. It all sounds wonderful, except maybe the dugongs, which remind me of politicians and bankers.

Steve - tempting! Only one of them is mine however....I imagine they would be old enuf to find their way home from work.

BT - they actually look a bit like bankers now you mention it!

Hmm, Brisbane +30, Burlington -30.

Still, you've been missed. You can catch up after all the fun is over.

Hey, enjoy the break while you can! 30 degrees at 4pm sounds a bit too hot for me, but we could use a little of that heat over here right now.

Well we sure do miss you, but hey, if you are getting a nice tan, I understand.

Violet - kind words, thank you! I feel like I am moaning a bit but I have so many photos that I can't wait to get home and give a proper run down!

Rol - I'm not back to work until 27 Jan so am getting a great break. Apparently it got to 44 in Christchurch in our absence so hopefully we won't have roast rabbits when we get back!

Mike - I usually burn at the thought of sun so am quite thrilled that I have managed to tunr slightly beige!! I am "lurking" on all the blogs I usually visit at leisure however...I know what you're all up to! :-)

So glad you are getting some tan. That heat needs to be good for something... it does nothing for my sanity!
I love the ferries on Sydney Harbour, it is truly beautiful to travel on them.

Just carry on having a great time Sagittarian!

I'm amazed your brain (as well as make-up) is not in meltdown at that temperature!

Meggie - I agree, those ferries are wonderful!

RB- Hi ya. I'm home again at the end of this month...sadly, haven't won big money!

Poet - I am enjoying it really, the heat is bearable now I'm getting used to it. The spiders and snakes are something else tho....
