Above, another grave at Stillwater. I admit to tinkering with it to be in black and white.....
This is rather a cheeky KEA. They eat anything, usually they go for the bits of rubber seal on your car! This one was content to have his photo taken in exchange for some Kiwi fruit.
This is the site of the Brunner mine disaster where the locals have created a memorial of information and education.
This is my 250th post! Let's have a drink....

And that kea posed so nicely for you. and your windshield wipers were kept safe.
Congrats on reaching 250 - what a terrifically entertaining jounrey it has been! Here's looking forward to at least 250 more!
Violet - indeed, he was really cheeky too and seemed almost interested in the camera and checking I had his best side!
Steve - thanks very much, I'm pleased that you have tagged along! Cheers,
Hi Amanda, two lovely posts there... now who is the lucky soddess ???!!! Getting to see all those gorgeous views of the South Island Alps ?! Color me green.
I'd never heard of the mine disaster there, must have been a terrible time for all concerned.
So you get to go out and look at all these places, and get paid for it ? Wow ! Some folks have all the luck...
I really like how your b & w tinkering enhanced the gravestone's ancient, weathered feeling. The kea is charming--at least in the photo. Hard to believe he let you get so close. Perhaps an old film star reincarnated as a bird, ever ready for a close-up.
250 posts! Champers all round!
Owen - I guess I am rather lucky, mind you when I get to my work destination things don't look quite so pretty at all so I feel compensated by the journey!
Louciao - thanks, and Owen will take away the empties so it's all a good thing!
