Tuesday Tipple

Hey Matty, this one is for you! The rest of you will have to be creative and mix in the plonk of your choice to jazz it up a bit.

Passion

1 banana (curved or straight, it's all the same to me)
60ml pineapple juice
60ml orange and mango juice
3 teaspoons passionfruit pulp
ice

Pour all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth then pour into a serving glass, garnished with pineapple and banana pieces. I'd use one of those footed tall glasses that you can steal from nightclubs if you're quick!

And just for fun, lets skip down memory lane to this....

That sounds good.
And can't you just add vodka to almost anything if you need??

What the heck are those Wombles?

Okay, I just looked them up - they are rather strange.

Hi Violet - I used to love that programme as a kid! There aren't enough special effects or swear words to make them popular today probably. And yes, I think you can add Vodka to anything...even the Wombles! ;-)

What a great cocktail. Booze and Wombles. Now there's a story I'd have loved to hear Bernard Cribbins narrate!

Steve - well you know, I like to mix things up a bit! But I agree, that would be a good narration.

Great song - have always liked it on a musical level. I now listen to it spotting all the teaching points - French Horns, Falsetto voices (here and there) off-beat snare drum blah blah...

Ciao,
thank you (and indirectly irreverent Owen) for stopping by my place and leaving your kind words!

I've just returned from the farmer's market, damn it! Now I have to go back to get me some pineapple, mango juice and passion fruit.

Wonderful concoction!
Ciao,
~Lola

Hey Saj, I couldn't find "plonk" in my dictionary, but at least you left the door open for jazzing things up a bit, at first when read this I thought someone had suddenly taken a turn for tea-totalling abstinence, what with not a drop of alcohol to be spied in the recipe, but then on reading again I realized what "plonk" must mean... so, I'm thinking a little caribbean rum might be just the ticket to spice this up, hmmm, maybe even stirring in a bit of brown sugar too ???

Hope all is well in sunny NZ !

Ahhh, and I see I've been being irreverent again ! What's a poor boy to do ??? Well, to quote a famous song : "Nothing left to do but smile smile smile" ! (He's Gone by the Grateful Dead)

Oh yeah, and I'd never even heard of a Womble before ! How on earth did I miss that ???

Oh, deliciously yummticious! Thank you for that. All my favourite things in one fell swoop - apart from those weird Wombling creatures!

Wombles...Don't think they made it to N.America but they look like they set the stage for the Teletubbies, who did. Imagine being able to tell your grandkids, "Oh yeah, back in the day, I was a professional Womble." The pride!

Would enjoy the Wombles decidedly more with a large addition of plonk, as suggested, to the witch's brew of the day! Fun post as ever, Saj.

Tenon- isn't it wonderful, I always liked the "parp parpy" bits best!

Lola -welcome to NZ and thank you for calling in, I hope your market isn't too far away! Actually, farmers markets are just catching on here and I love poking about at them.

Owen - I'll make an educated sod out of you yet eh? Funny the words that you don't know, you must have led a sheltered life (hahahahahahahah)

Tessa - welcome to you as well, have visited your blog and how wonderful it is. As for the Wombles, I guess you had to be there...in the 70s I think children's TV has a lot to answer for.

Loucaio - haha, withces brew indeed! I often wonder what became of the Wombles and we had a wicked idea that they were really the Bay City Rollers in disguise for many years...
