Tuesday Tipple

The start to my day goes like this....This is our front yard and even tho' I know it's nowhere near as bad as in Europe, it is still annoying trying to get my dainty dry boot-clad feet across it to get into my car.

And then when I got to my car, there was all this freezing cold stuff over it......

But 5 minutes down the road, and look - a double rainbow! It's going to be a good day after all eh?

Let's have a Frozen Daiquiri anyway....

45ml Bacardi
30ml fresh lemon juice
15ml sugar syrup
2 scoops of ice (get it off your car if you're missing it from your freezer!)

Pour all ingredients into a blender, blend until smooth and then pour into a champagne saucer. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

Hey, I'm first for once ! Now how is that for wonderful... and I know being first means I get to grab two of those frozen daquiris... one for each hand !

My, but your yard looks a trifle damp there, time maybe to see about moving into one of our dream houses on higher ground ?

Thank god I wore my rubber boots tonight. It was treacherous getting in here! When I first saw the picture of your yard I thought it was a new swimming pool. Saves the trouble of mowing the lawn but getting out to the car every morning is a bit of a challenge. Well, speaking of swimming pools, let's start lapping up the Daiqs!
(I always think it's good omen when I see a rainbow, too...or two)

Meant to say that that is one time when it's okay to be seeing double.

Good Daiquiri mood music you got going on here tonight, Saj. Glad I brought my maraccas!

Got rain here too. Guess our British summertime matches the NZ wintertime. Cheers for the drink. I need it.

Villager- yes, there's always something eh?!

Cor blimey - and to think we're having a mini-heatwave here!

Bottoms up if it helps keep out the chill winds

Laura - lovely to see you here! I don't begrudge you lot a mini-heatwave...well, not really....

You NZlanders are such wimps. Here in the UK, where beer does flow and men chunder, we don't worry about hail and snow but don our shorts and tee-shirts and rust.

Bring on the Deluge!

BC - yes, nothing that a nice cuppa tea wouldn't fix eh? The sun is out today and that has made everyone much happier. Altho' hardy would be good too....

Years since last I saw snow on me own, as it rarely gets colder outside, than it is inside of the fridge.

It is our long weekend this weekend. I dont understand why Oz & NZ dont coordinate. It is fine but cold. Though, not as cold as your place looks!

Oh yes a little wet I concur, but you need to be a bit more british about this sort of thing and just get on with it, what-oh ! We never let a few puddles stop us...
Jolly good drink by the way - cheers !

It's been hot here in Leeds. I remember reading your posts 6 months ago when you were sweltering and I have been playing snowballs.

This is the one time of year I enjoy cold beers.

Jealous?
