We miss you, Mummy

I consider that I have been a tough nut these past 15 months or so, until I drove past this sign the other day. Erected by the children of  Natasha who was killed in her workplace during the February earthquake. I sat in my car and bawled like a baby. And then I went to work. And I was actually thankful that I could.

Go purposefully into this festive season. Make everything count.

lordy, thanks for the reminder. Have been gardening and feeling lucky. I shall try hard to hang onto that...cos sometimes you really don't know what you got til it's gone do you?

Beyond words... who can fathom the pain of someone else's loss ?

A long moment of silence here.

That goes straight to the heart. It hurts, and it makes me feel small and grateful.

PS Love your piece just below this one about chirpy who wants to come around to sign off on the unit. I'll bet she is probably visiting local cemeteries to find some people now residing there to get them to sign off on their units as well. I find there is cause for concern about the human race in general when one heres true stories like this...
