Is that a light at the end of the tunnel or a train?

So - we were meant to have had a date in Court yesterday, to see if the Judge of the special earthquakes claims court can budge our insurance company.

For a few weeks now 100s of grumpy claimants such as ourselves have been camping outside their offices and generally making loud protesting noises in the general direction of Southern (lack of) Response.  We don't know if it was the Court action or the protesting or a happy combination of them both BUT we had talks with SR on Monday and so far they appear to have decided that they will honour the agreement we had with them 2 YEARS AGO after all. I shouldn't be so cynical because I am far too young for that, however I will wait for the court memo before I start to believe we might get our house rebuilt next year!!

*sigh* there shouldn't be a question about honouring the agreement. What a shit insurance company Southern Response is. Bloody shameful. Here's hoping they finally get their fingers out of their collective arse and make good on the deal. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a New Year that sees some positive progress.

Good luck. I will keep everything crossed for you. They have kept you waiting WAAAY too long already and deserve to be publicly embarrassed. Lx

It seems almost impossible that you are all STILL waiting for this to be resolved.

If you wrote it in a book no one would believe you.

Strength to you.
