Everything chnages and everything stays the same

I have had this song in my head for the past few days, dunno why. Maybe it was Mike's recent post?

I think what I find so spooky about all of this is that all of those images were from when I was a kid and it is really sad to think that in all of these years we really haven't improved much.

Sad.

Mike, I know. Our kids haven't been spared similar sights either I guess.

It's sad to think that maybe human nature has always been so depressingly static.

The ultimate protest song. I wore out my 45 of this at school, believing youth was overturning the old order and that, by smoking the odd ciggy behind the bike sheds, I was a cutting-edge, indispensable part of it.
My retro favourites this summer in the car have been the soundtrack to Easy Rider and 'Good Morning Vietnam', which includes Eve of Destruction amongst other goodies like Julie Driscoll, Canned Heat, Yardbirds and Jefferson Airplane. I'm regressing.

In light of the fact so many of those images are from recent times... feck I agree with Mike!
