I think what I find so spooky about all of this is that all of those images were from when I was a kid and it is really sad to think that in all of these years we really haven't improved much.
The ultimate protest song. I wore out my 45 of this at school, believing youth was overturning the old order and that, by smoking the odd ciggy behind the bike sheds, I was a cutting-edge, indispensable part of it. My retro favourites this summer in the car have been the soundtrack to Easy Rider and 'Good Morning Vietnam', which includes Eve of Destruction amongst other goodies like Julie Driscoll, Canned Heat, Yardbirds and Jefferson Airplane. I'm regressing.

Mike, I know. Our kids haven't been spared similar sights either I guess.
