For a refreshing tipple let's have a Sidecar!
30ml brandy
30ml Cointreau
30 ml fresh lemon juice
ice
Pour all the ingredients into a shaker, shake, then strain into serving glass and garnish with a lemon twist. I use a martini glass for this one.
Actually, if you triple the recipe you could make a wee jug full.....
Oh and I found this clip, sorry it's one of the photo-flashing kind but I haven't heard this song for years. I used to listen to it all the time when I was a lot younger.

ah, so that's a sidecar! I think I would like a jug full...
and Sally Oldfield is new to me, though her name sounds familiar...
And after we drink a few can we go for a ride in one ?
Cheers me dears! I shall make that tonight and raise a glass to you. Happy Christmas to you and yours xx
A Sidecar?
Where's the motorbike then?
Well, it's Wednesday. Oh heck, no it's not. It is Tuesday. Oh boy, I'm going potty here.
Start again. I've never been in a sidecar you know. Never thought about that before. I think I ought to try it one day.
Anyway, cheers Big Ears!
Wow. If that's a sidecar I'd be scared to see the motorbike!
Violet - she's Mike's sister. They do a few songs together on other albums. Not sure what she's doing now tho'. The sun is out and I'm on my last few hours at work for the year- a jug full of sidecar is just the ticket.
Owen - only if someone else is driving!
Selina - cheers, all the best to you and yours m'dear.
AWB - Have enough of the sidecar and you'll think you're already on the motorbike!
RB- cheers to you too, have a great holiday.
Steve - Indeedy, perhaps my comment to AWB refers!
Cheers, Saj! And a merriest of times Christmas with plenty of jugs of good things to imbibe to keep your motor purring.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family. Enjoy the season!
