Monday, Monday

An abandoned fixer-upper, on main road.

Sometimes I almost feel like heading away to the land, somewhere quiet yet with easy access to a still (of course); this particular 'castle' wasn't very far from a wee town in the middle of nowhere. I wonder what on earth made the people of the past decide to drop their roots down in that spot. There is nothing of note there!

Nothing of note perhaps but the sound of the wind and the smell of fresh clean air... I'm sold.

"The wind blows the card house down, here in Satellite Town"--I like that line. I think there's still some life to be had from that old place, though. I'm particularly drawn by the awnings over the windows. If Steve doesn't move in, perhaps we could pick it up and move it somewhere a little closer to...anything.

Oh! I don't know whether to smile or cry. It looks quite sad and neglected now but it looks like whoever lived there once could perhaps have been quite content ...

Steve - OK, you can be in charge of painting!

Louciao- You're in charge of the banjo....

Selina -I'm thinking you might like to plan the garden....

The banjo! You're too funny. Who'll bring the rope? (you are thinking "Deliverance" aren't you? I can see how the place would definitely have that sort of vibe, Kiwi-style, of course.)

WV: tortr (I kid you not!)
"Wat sorta tortr cud we dreem up nex fer theez crazy blog foke once't I finishes this here'n banjo solo, Saj?"

guess it is this "neither past, nor future, just an eternal present" which speaks at such a place, that makes people long for it.

Hey Saj,
Now how did you slip this in here without me seeing it earlier ? A fixer upper or a burner downer ? Looks like they've done some improvements on the roof facilitated ventilation system... a definite plus. But the biggest selling point is exactly what you said, "nothing of note nearby"... yup, I'll bite on that one hook line and sinker...

Now what on earth is that mad-Lynne going on about ? Banjos ? Deliverance ? Tortr ?

Funny, my WV is "uncess", as in, oh my, I think someone fell in a cesspool, we're gonna have to find a way to uncess them...
