I had to collect our Young Dr Whovian from school and she promptly puked over The Scowly Teen. Plus (of course) I have to go away for work tomorrow and not back til Friday night sometime. The roads are flooding and our yard is under water. The leaves from the trees are clogging everything they can.
Cue the happy clappy song "Oh happy day..."
There's nothing for it, my three friends will have to cheer me up this evening but only AFTER I return from taking The Scowly Teen to ice skating (roads permitting)....pop the top off one, sit down and stay awhile, Midge (our local Bluesman) will entertain us!

You know, looking at your photos, I think I'd feel right at home in NZ...!
Steve- you would be a welcome addition! We will save you a puddle...
What a day! You deserve my alcoholic quote as well today so take it with my blessing. In fact, you can my whole month's supply although you would probably be alarmed by how many lorries it would take to transport it to you - well and a plane obviously.
I hate puke.
It does look very wet, Sag; and we've had virtually no rain here !
Saj,
What a day, and yet you found the stamina to blog about it. Such a trooper. I can't begin to imagine the scene in your car that ensued after the barfing incident.
I hope you have some good rubber boots to splash off to the bar in. Let's have a couple together before you drive off into the wet week. Will you be driving? Slow down and live, okay?
WV: hotbar (!!!)
Say no more
Rain - liquide sunshine.
Being madly in love with rain, trying to hear it drumming a favourite name, this would surely have been an oasis for me, as it has rained about 30min within the last two and a half months over here and summer is still ahead.
Please have a wonderful Thursday.
Poor scowly teen! Hope the puking has gone!
flooding is bad enough!
Well, at least with swollen rivers and fat sock lady puddles, it's easy to find a place to rinse the puke off and to splash water on the ill one's face hoping to calm the upheavals. Gosh, everywhere I look, there are upheavals... Jamaica, Bangkok, (what a strange name for a city...), Korea(s), etc etc ad nauseum...
Funny, I only just now noticed that you had done one lonely little post way back in May of 2006, four years ago nearly to the day, and that was the only post in that first busy year of blogging, and it was raining that day too, and you blogged about it... some things never change, wot ?
But you picked up the pace a bit in 2007, and from there, it's all history now, being world famous and all, with crowd of international connaisseurs who drop in as often as we can ! Life is good.
Life is good, especially when there is ginger beer in the bargain ! And live music ! We're going to get spoiled if you keep this up...
Saw where you showed up to the rhododendron party, and are waiting out by the river in case we floated by... well, we'll be there just as soon as we can, so please save us a bottle or three... ok ??? And no fair drinking half, then filling it back up to the top with rainwater, thinking we won't notice...
Oh dear, it does look very wet. Perhaps it's not a good time to say that our summer seems to be finally kicking in. I woke up to glorious sunshine streaming into our room and I have spent longer in the garden this morning than usual. But I won't say that here ...
my sympathies, sag. being an experienced expert on teenagers, i can assure you that you will get your due credit in ten years.
i've never known you to be grumpy, so i hope you don't mind i got a little chuckle from it.
:)
Now I'm worried about you, Saj. Silent Sunday is one thing, but blind Sunday as well?! I hope you are safe, well, and happy.
Hi everyone, sorry - had a computer glitch hence being 'off air'....
'A fat lady's sock'...........now there's an image.
Love the photos used to move the narrative along. Nice one.
