Steve, thats exactly what our humble but pert city has. A strong heart beat. We had a glorious sunny day and no aftershocks that I could feel either, none since 10.30pm last night! We can see the other side....
It brings a lump to my throat to see your chimney stump. I love the houses of Chrischurch, and it is so sad to think of all the damage. We have been in contact with most friends, and all are ok. Still, very traumatic for everyone.

How poignant.

Sunshine and earth that doesn't tremble beneath one's feet: the simple things of life are the best!
Laura - Indeed, or someone's sense of humour shining thru!
Meggie- I know what you mean, I drove down through Sydenham yesterday and it is heartbreaking. I'm glad your friends and family are ok.
Louciao- I spoke too soon, we had a nice 4.6 jolt just after midnight...a reminder as to whose in charge eh!
Music, when language has to stop, it takes over and beyond.
Please have a good new week you all.
