Oh what a beautiful shot! It's downright "biblical." BRAVO!

I love how the sky looks like water... like the entire picture might be upside down but for the bird at its heart...

I need one of those...a silent sunday, not a bird !

Robert- many thanks.

StickUp - I have to say it is one of my favourite shots, thanks!

Steve- I hadn't noticed that before, but you're right!

Keith- Thank you, and good luck with finding a silent Sunday.

Barry- drop outta the sun or take photos? I'm sure you could do both if you really tried....

Now what were you doing up there at high altitude soaring and clowning around with the birds ?!? Did you attach a bunch of helium balloons to your lawn chair ???

Like Stickup, I also thought it was downright biblical... I hope you'll give us a clue as to how you managed to get this amazing shot... Did your other half take you up for a ride in a bi-plane to let you shoot some aerial photos ? In any case, it's a fine entry for silent Sunday...

What a great shot! Just beautiful. Perfect for silent Sunday. Bless you (I never say that, unless someone sneezes, but in this case I'll make an exception. Although, if that cold of yours is still hanging on, maybe my "bless you" can do double duty.) Very cool picture.
