30ml Tequila (why did the Mexican throw his wife off the bridge?)
15ml fresh lime juice (sure, use the bottled stuff but you can tell the difference)
30ml Cointreau or Triple Sec
ice
salt for glass rim
Rub rim of glass with lime slice, then dip in salt to coat the rim. Pour all ingredients into shaker, shake, then strain into serving glass. I use wide rimmed Margarita glasses but a champagne saucer would do. Garnish with lime slice. And yes, I know...I know, you just wanna kick back, glass in hand and SING ALONG TO THIS...

That joke was so bad (and old), I had to open another bottle of Marlborough Sav Blanc.
Happy to help, Baz!
Oh jeez. I just got the "joke" after a second reading. I really do need a drink after that one! Just let me finish up the rum and fruit juice Pierre made me (he was in Cuba for a week)then I'll happily waste away (not to say "waist away") with you in Margaritaville.
Louciao- oh boy, you're gonna love this one then...what do Mexican's put on the floor when carpeting their house? (Underlay, underlay)
Oh jeez, but why the heck did he want tequila ??? That part of the story is less clear, but important to understand if we really want to fathom the deeper social implications of such a, of such an act of finality ... oh shoot, it doesn't matter, just pour me another one of those, willya ? Whereareyou when we need you ???
owen- here ya go, champ. Sorry was in the cellar dusting off some more bad jokes...
Duh. It took me 3 readings to get the joke! After all that brain work I'll need one of those to cool down the fire!
I want to make a joke about "I hope I didn't ariba too late" but I can't quite figure out how to do so cleverly. Maybe a few more margaritas will help; then everyone will be so drunk we'll think anything is hilarious.
There's nothing I like better than a bad joke. I like your style, lady!
StickUp - my husband refers to it as "Kakanui humour" (small town where my mum lives...)
Louciao-we are permanently hilarious!
Steve - well, spanks mate. I like yours too....
Well it made me laugh! And I might use that drink at one of our Christmas parties !
