Tuesday Tipple

I am guessing that no-one wants to hear about our 32 degree heat today? No?

Ok, how about this then....

Red Passion Lemonade

5 parts Alize Red Passion
2 cans of lemonade
1 whole lemon

Cut the lemon into wedges, fill a glass bowl or jug wuith ice. Add ingredients, pour into tumbler and garnish with mint tip. Chill-ax!

Sounds great. But can I tell you about our -19 lowest temperatures recorded for donkey's years here !

Oh and the verification word is FLUMSHAN which I can't let go by without recording.

My lemonade has frozen solid. Could I please borrow a hair drier?

32 degrees?

I would comment, but my fingers are too cold to type.

It's just not fair. But I never turn down a drink - frozen or otherwise, so chuck some in my direction, please!

It's warm enough here but it's been raining for 7 days in a row. This warm steady heavy rainfall is caused by "The Pineapple Express" from the Hawaiian Tropics. Your tipple is just the thing to survive this weather!

Cruel, that's what I say ! Cruel and unusual ! 32°C... here it is 32°F... and set to snow again tonight.

Lemonade... could rhyme with Sade, as in Sadism... but no, you wouldn't intentionally inflict pain on anyone, now would you....

Grrrrrrrrr, it's that jug of ice that really gets me, and the mint... grrrrrrr... am going to go curl up underneath a think heavy quilt to try to unthaw here...

32°... sheesh... did you have to mention that??? Do you really want to be held responsible for sending scores of your northern latitude readers into a deep funk ???

Think I'm going to go sulk now...

PS, WV is "sogie"... yup, that's about what I feel like now, a real sogie...

I'm guessing that Alize Red Passion has alcohol content, otherwise, what would be the point of this tipple?

Keith, I just love the word verifications!

Violet-it's quite a light drink really...

Steve - Have saved a seat at the table in the sun, bring your lemonade...

Rol- Poor lad, maybe you'll get some of those fingerless gloves for Xmas? :-)

RB - here ya go, luv! Don't quaff it all at once tho'...

StickUp- I'm going for ease of mixing at the moment, too hot to shake!

BrOwen- oh no, not a toady sulk please!! I'm sure you will find this drink will get you hopping about and singing (not croaking) in no time, but we'd best keep you in the shade as we don't want you drying out on us!

Louciao- head off to this site, mostly 16% but VERY tasty. Whenever I go thru Customs I always look out for the spirits that you don't usually see in the local bottle stores (I'm still guarding my bottle of genuine Cuban Rum....) http://www.alize.com/age.php

It's just propaganda In the same way we made out we were on our knees after during the Blitz.

...And it's a way of explaining how completely crap is our infrastructure with or without snow.

We had a minor earthquake in Cumbria 3.6 yesterday. We can cope don't you guys worry.

The Sagittarian said...

Barry - 3.6? Wow, we don't get outta bed for anything less than 5 these days. Glad you're coping, I was about to send vegemite sammies but they probably wouldn't make it thru the snow!

I had a meal out with work colleagues the other week. A cocktail with Grand Marnier, Brandy and Armanac topped with pouring cream.

Sublime. It followed a Creme Brulee........the sequence was orgasmic.

Helpes me forget about the temperatures outside.

.........and it wouldn't have been as nice at 32 degrees too.

Marginalia said...

Yeah, it rocked me; but then at my age a 3.6 is a mega knee trembler. Is Vegemit the stuff cats go crazy for?

The Sagittarian said...

AWB - Sounds like a Brandy Alexander? Very tasty and you're right, best not at 32 degrees!

Barry - I guess they do, my cats like almost anything if they think they're stealing it!
