This morning we were treated to a thumping 5.5 quake...nothing more broken at our place except maybe a few shattered nerves. I've been on edge all day however there is a bottle of Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc in the fridge which I can hear calling my name so am looking forward to chill'axin' later. I still hate drinking from plastic champagne flutes but needs must!
My new temporary office is about 8kms out of the city, and these guys are now my neighbours....took this on the way to work one morning last week. The cattle were really nosey and came over to see what I was doing and then promptly went back to eating. I guess I wasn't interesting enough!

Congrats on your wedding anniversary (you can stop making the earth move now)!
Heard about the shake from my mum, I was there in February and not sure if I can go back again even though it is my hometown :(
And happy anniversary :)
Steve - thanks, buddy! I have to say the neighbours are probably getting tired of us yelling out the score "4" and this morning I am thinking The Stud was happy at the "5.5:"....
Vicky - Oh I do hope your Mum is ok; I hardly recognise the city now there are so many empty lots and so on. Were you here for the "Big One" in February? A lot of people are likening this process to a funeral, do you go see the body or remember it the way it was? How do you move on? etc....it's just exhausting cos we can't forget about it owing to the aftershocks. Nice to see you here tho'. xx
Happy Anniversary! We never think to acknowledge ours so I'll gladly celebrate yours! That Sauvignon looks mighty tasty...I don't mind putting up with the plastic flutes but I do miss that satisfying "clink" when we toast to your continued conjugal bliss.
To the Saj and the Stud!
Nice scenery on your drive to work. I love how those beasties are standing there steaming. Do my eyes deceive me or is there some frost just dissipating in the morning air?
With these ongoing aftershocks, if you didn't already drink, they'd be a good reason to pick up the habit. I'd say it's a good thing that you've got a head start.
Hi Saj~ So sorry to hear another quake has jarred your nerves--you're going to end up with post traumatic stress disorder. I recommend essential oils diffused, but now I'm thinking sparkling wine works better! Prosecco is another good bubbly!
Still, lots to celebrate: your anniversary--congratulations!--family intact--relocated office (hopefully closer to home). Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ
WV: kaxeno
I lost my money at the kaxeno.
For goodness sake ! When is it going to stop ???
Just out of curiosity, did the statue of Henry Nicholas survive all the rocking and rolling ?
Sweet sixteen eh ? Here's wishing you another sixteen of all the best...
Oh, and it seems clear, you still haven't poured out enough champagne down an earthquake crack in offerings to our earth mother...
Nearly half a year since last I saw cows. Six behind your marriage achievement. Many concratulations from Athens, Greece.
Patience, happiness and good thoughts for you all.
My Goodness, we have earthquakes here in California but nothing near in size and duration of aftershocks and quakes you are experiencing! One good jolt and that puts me on edge. You certainly have an amazing attitude!
Congrats on your wedding anniversary! I know what you mean about the plastic flutes and you just don't get that good clink.
The family of "asses" I visit from time to time that I've posted are the same as those cows. They love coming over to you but the chewing soon wins out.
Hang in there and keep chillin!
Oh dear, I have been thinking of you all day since I heard about this 5.5.
Happy Anniversary - I guess the earth really did move for you this time, eh?!
word veri is glopped. seems an appropriate word, though am not sure why.
I can think of worse neighbours to have. Really hope those quakes stop soon.
Congratulations on your anniversary, good show!
I don't know how your nerves aren't shredded by now.Surely it'll stop soon?
