Thirsty Thursday

I tell you, if we're not dodging quakes we're shovelling snow! It is thristy work make no mistake.

So, in a nod to our recent weather...let's make a Snowball!

Get yourself (and me) a high ball glass, put 1 and a half ounces of Advocaat into the glass over ice and carefully top up with lemonade.

Let the snow fight begin...I warn you tho' I have called in some top class assistance this week (and yes, this is a photo taken in our yard Monday night)...see....

I've been in the central city this morning. The place looks like wartime Europe (in the movies)what with wrecked buildings and snow piled up in dirty heaps everywhere. But I loved all the snow construction in suburban front gardens. Igloos, forts - it definitely felt like an earthquake response... "Let's build while we can!" Have you seen the lovely Cool Auction on Trade Me for a weekend with breakfast in an igloo? Proceeds to children who lost parents in the Earthquake. Now do I have some advocaat in the cupboard?

Party in a (police) box--whoohoo! Tardis on!

I guess the lemonade is to prevent us from getting scurvy?

Look at all those names written in the snow...that aint lemonade ink! Well, maybe once-removed, like a cousin you shouldn't kiss too enthusiastically.

Steve - You keep hoping, mate....

Lady M - I drove about the city yesterday too...and I agree, bomb site, it would have been 'romantic' if it hasn't all been so heartbreaking, and the Basilica is now just a shell! I haven't sen that Auction, but there is a half igloo down Marshlands Road! :-)

Louciao- yep, can't be having scurvy as well as everything else you know!
