Use your best John Hannah or Taggart voices, click on the image to be able to read it and away ye go! It's one of my favourites and is so hard to tell in person...

I have always been pretty good with most "accents," but I have to admit when it comes to understanding Scotsmen speak, I am at a total loss.

Mike, I know what you mean. Most people end up sounding Welsh!

Steve - am trying to distract myself from the fact that I honestly feel that Torchwood is sooooo light!

That made me laugh out loud! (It takes a lot for the written word to do that). I'm sending it to all my relations. The Scottish ones, that is.

Haha, I'm going to tell that one at the Annual Simian Convention! I predict it will bring the house down!

Brother T, I know how you feel - I have heard that one so many times and it STILL cracks me up. Obviously I gotta get out more!!

Gorilla Bananas - welcome! You're a long way from home visiting here. Good luck with the joke telling, hope it has the desired effect for you!

Hey that really made me laugh. I hardly ever laugh at jokes so that is quite something. It kind of repeats on you for a while afterwards too doesn't it?

Glad your BP is better and that you can return to alcohol with renewed vigour. I seem to have discovered plenty of vigour for it myself over the past few weeks of visiting people!

Having just been to Edinburgh Festival for several days, this is doubly hilarious!

I found I was a great favourite with drunken scotsmen in the city centre streets at night. Sadly they weren't a favourite with me and I quickly wove out of their way when they lurched toward me!
