Ernie wants in

Isn't he handsome?

His paw is still puffy, despite having been flushed and antisepticed, he is taking the pills like a good boy.

I'd let him in.

He looks too scary to argue with.

What a great photo and what a darling boy! How could one resist an earnest face like that. Ernie the Earnest.

Ernie needs a cuddle.
Nice effect on that portrait.

That puddy-cat needs a hug and a big plate of fish just for being a brave soldier.

Rol-Hi there, he's a big softy really (unless you're a neighbourhood cat in our yard..)

Louciao - Oddly enough my youngest daughter always calls him Ernest. She reckons she doesn't know him well enough to call him Ernie! And yes, I'd put down my glass to let him in!

Violet - Ernie only gets cuddles from me, he runs away from everyone else!

Steve - he's a trooper alright, the vet told me that when they knocked him out to x-ray his paw they ahd a good old look at him and he's hardly got ANY where on his body that isn't scarred! I think I'm so soft on him because he must have been a determined wee fella to have stuck around our place for so long.

He still looks a little wan, but he wants in! That's a good thing! How did you get that beautiful kaleidoscope of color effect? Hugs, Margaret

Hi Margaret - he's good at 'cute'! I used a picnik programme (which I was told about by Louciao in one of her sober moments, and which i remembered in one of mine!)

Saj...what do you mean by referring to one of my sober moments? Did I have one with you? Was I saying something about life being a picnic? Or not a picnic, as the case may be?

I'm still blushing (with pleasure) about what you said about getting my comments. Same with me! I mean about getting your comments, not my own.

WV: "tismen"...but I don't think I'll touch that one as it might go on for hours. Tismen who _______ (fill in the blank)

PS. Have continued our scintillating discussion of boots over at my place!

Ah, the importance of being earnest... and what lovely colors he is bathed in... does that have something to do with the pills he's taking, as in White Rabbit... or has someone else been taking pills while listening to Tom Waits ?!?

Great cat!

Louciao - WV used to annoy me but I can now see it's creative side!

Owen - no, not on pills yet! Mind you, we did treat the neighbour's to a rendition of Heart Attack and Vine recently.

Adrian - thank you, this photo IS one of mine. Not in the same league as your wonderful photos tho, I MUST add!

Another great photo - he looks gorgeous.
As are you, with your big, kind, compassionate heart that makes you do lovely things like taking in strays, leaving wise and funny comments on blogs where the idiot writer has behaved stupidly and then offering recipes for amazing drinks to soothe the pain.
You're a marvel xx
