Tuesday Tipple

That old classic, the COSMOPOLITAN for this week. It's starting to get warmer over here and that makes me think of a nice sunny drink with Vodka.
So, here we go....

10ml of Citron vodka (you can buy this or make your own - flavour plain Vodka with a wedge of lemon for about 7 days, just slice it up and slip it into the bottle, or you can mix it in a jar, strain and use! Voila! Vodka is very easy to flavour and you can basically use anything. I have used Christmas Tea before now and that gives a lovely Christmas pudding/spicy flavour)
20ml Vodka
30ml Cointreau (ah, bliss)
60ml cranberry juice (not just useful for cystitis sisters!!)
1 lime wedge
1 cup ice

Place all the ingredients into a shaker. Shake - don't you love that sound?
Strain into a chilled martini glass, garnish with a twist of lime.

get your dancin' shoes on...

Am I first?!!! Probably because it's not yet Tuesday here but I decided to camp out and wait for your bar to open.

I'm wearing Owen's old biker boots, which I found in the raccoons' stash at our abandonned house next door, because they're so great for boogeying to Albert.

Glad to see you finally got those wobbly girls rounded up and properly coralled!

Phoque me, Yes, you're first! Hey love the boots and so much more functional than those Birkenstock things you're trying to palm off onto me!
Have got the girls under control today, altho' after a cossie or two who knows what may happen!!

Vodka has never been very kind to me. That could be because I over indulged... back in the day, of course.

Oh boy, I see people are out phoquin' off already, just because it's evening already on Tuesday where you are, for us here in Europe it's only 05h00 Tuesday morning, and I'm off to bed, while Lynne will probably be up for hours more still finishing off that shaker full of Cosmopolitans... sounds good to me ! And I'll bet you both have well rehearsed those Albert Collins lines... I ain't drunk !

Ah, so now at last I know where those black boots ended up. A pox on the person that stole them in the first place... or the raccoon. Imagine waking up in the woods with no boots !

Meggie - yes I had a similar experience with Bacardi and still can't really take to it! (Unless there's nothing else in which case I'd make the effort...)

Owen - am laughing at my WV "prickers", which I imagine would apply to your bare foot romp in the woods eh? Especially as apparently bears 'go' in the woods, that would be unpleasant!

All my Wednesdays are becoming blurry for some strange reason....

Ooooh my fave fave drink!
I love how Cosmo's get me "happy pissed" and not sleepy at all - just buzzy. Right up until I try and stand up and find my legs no longer work!
Excellent choice ;o)

Penelope - oh thats exactly what a good drink should do! I'd better make some more then...

G'day Saj, Just about to stagger off home but thought I'd leave you a little thank you note, like the model guest I am.

My wv is "panniess" which almost describes the state I found myself in when I woke up on your floor this morning. What the "L" am I supposed to think?

ouciao

Nevermind! Found the missing article stretched over a lampshade in your living room. I remember now I thought the light a bit bright after I'd tipped back the first couple of bootfuls.

(My WV is ermashne..as in erm ash ne na pissed?)

Very good photo, congratulations!

Margaret - we are blaming Owen for the French phoque-ing thats going on! I just like the sound of the word and am using it 'willy-nilly'! :-)

Adrian - gee thanks but this particular one is from a stock std place and not one of mine sadly! The glasses never stay full enough for me to photograph!

Now that looks so classy.

Is it still as classy after you've had half a dozen or so?

As for sound. My favourite when it comes to alcohol is the sound of a cork popping at the beginning of a meal.

It promises so much.

kj, lovely to see you here. Well, during the day it is getting warmer but I've just been outside to feed Ernie and it is very cold overnight - good day tomorrow that means!

AWB - Oh yes, I adore that cork popping sound. That 'lady fart' of a cap unscrewing is nowhere near the same!!
