Tuesday Tipple

Brandy Crusta

30ml Brandy
15ml Maraschino
30ml fresh orange juice
dash Angostura bitters

Rub the rim of the glass with an orange slice then dip into sugar to coat the rim.
Pour all ingredients into shaker, shake, shake, shake (your boooooty) then strain into a serving glass.

What type of glass you ask? I'd use a champagne flute and decorate the glass with an orange slice and a cherry!
Cheers, Tony and God speed.

MMmmm, that sounds divine...

Which ? Well, both, the drink and the music... always loved that tune, nearly every version I've ever heard of it...

WV is "squinge" as in, I had to squinge my eyes down real tight, after having three of these and then walking out into the setting sun...

Bon courage Saj...

I shall be released, as well, out into the wild blue yonder tomorrow morning, winging my way back to the east coast. "Released," no doubt, into serious winter confinement commencing shortly after my return.

I keep trying to write something comforting and meaningful about the loss of your dear friend, but it all comes out sounding empty. So I'm wrapping my virtual arms around you and sending a big hug.

Owen - hi there, yeah I have to say that is my favourite version of that song. Mind you, am rather partial to The Band.

Louciao - thanks, m'dear, am dusting myself off and getting up again slowly. I love your 'versty' comment!

Steve - thanks, here have another one...

Meggie - I hope you are able to have the odd one or two? Cheers!

Yum sounds good to me.

I will drink one later (yeah I know it is Thursday but I have never been one to do things at the right time!).

I hope the funeral was cathartic.

xx
