Owing to having been ill for the past few days, the Tipple this week will be on a the medicinal side. And we have suddenly reverted back to winter it seems, with southerlies blowing and rain for Africa! I'm sure you will understand the following low-key refreshment...
WATER, add ice (and paracetemol) - collapse on the couch with either a great book (with big print if head ache allows) or put on the DVD of Harold and Maude....

Am currently griping with a headache and slight feelings of nausea... your tipple is most timely and really hits the spot!
Dear Sis ! What on earth did you come down with ??? Don't tell me those bloody pigs from Mexico swam all the way to New Zealand ? Oh dear, no wonder we haven't seen you over at Lynne's lately... everyone was getting most concerned... Well, good to see you're almost back among the living. I rather suspect quite a few folks are in for bouts with ungodly viruses before the northern hemisphere winter is out... But goodness, I would have thought a good tipple for these symptoms would be a nice strong grog ! Make it a double...
Loved the little glimpse back into Harold and Maude, haven't seen that film for ages, it was a good story, eh ?
Well, whatever it is you and Steve seem to have caught, I hope it isn't contagious through the comment box !
Steve - happy to help!
Owen - Its my own fault for showing off that I haven't caught as much as a cold all year! Those Friday the 13th bods who slapped Steve, must have tracked me down too. BUT am now back and firing on almost all cylinders!
I recently took two codeine tabs instead of Tylenol by mistake. Was feeling no pain, indeed.
I saw the Harold & Maude movie when it was first out, I think, and absolutely adored it. Although I never saw it again. My daughter discovered it for herself years and years later and loves it, too.
Good idea to sip some water. It will clear the way for some champers I understand is coming your way.
Hope you're feeling better, Sag. I've been coughing and spluttering myself.
No my darling, you need looking after. What you need is hot water, chuck out the ice, replace with honey and .... a big slug of whisky. Works everytime, I promise you.
As for Harold and Maude, I have that DVD in shrinkwrap. It never appealed enough to open it but if you drink up your medicine, I'll give it a go!
Look after yourself xx
Oh no, poor Saggy. I hope you were suitably tended to and looked after?
I am feeling full of beans and good health but I'll have one anyway! I'm sure it will ward off any germs that are thinking of approaching and there are certainly plenty of them about.
Cheers!
Thanks everyone, am feeling much better now (Selina you can have the Nurse of the Day award)
