I have had a fair bit of time to come up with something different for todays tipple! So, are you sitting comfortably?
Then let's begin...
We're using an eau de vie (translated as 'water of life' - not a bad assumption for some tipples, I reckon!)
An eau de vie is a clear, colorless fruit brandy that is produced by means of fermentation and double distillation. The fruit flavor is typically very light.
LOOPING
1 ounce raspberry eau de vie
2 tsp coconut flavoured liqueur
carbonated grapefruit drink (If you're in NZ I'd use Franks ruby red grapefruit for this)
Garnish - lemon wedge
Mix the raspberry eau de vie and coconut flavoured liqueur together, with ice cubes, in a high ball glass. Top up with the grapefruit drink and stir briefly.
Perch the lemon wedge on the edge of the glass!
Quaff, while listening to this fabulous track from two of my favourite artists, Willie Dixon and Koko Taylor! I actually have this song by Long John Baldry and it is fab as well.

Aww Willie ! Ain't he great ? Who could not love the guy that wrote all those great songs, many of which got covered by a few minor groups like Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix... etc, etc, hell, who didn't cover his songs ???

Long John Baldry became a Canadian you know. Lived in Vancouver. But I never got a chance to see him perform.

Wow, that does sound good. I could do with one of those right now (it's 11.14am!). But sadly I am not yet at the end of my month of no booze - but it is getting nearer all the time.

My new handsome cat has just had a 'Kitteh Snap' and savaged my arm, while Cat Scanning my email!! Little blighter drew blood. He has been so loving & gorgeous.
It was not the music that tipped him off!!
