Tuesday Tipple

Such a fine day, started out all foggy but those days usually turn out to be a cracker like today! Sure, the wind is a little on the cool side but that means the ice in your drink doesn't melt as fast....

CHAMPAGNE JULEP

4oz Champagne (or Sparkling wine if you're budget is like mine...)
2oz Bourbon Whiskey
1 tsp super fine sugar
6 mint leaves

Combine 4 mint leaves with the sugar and a few drops of water and muddle well.

Add the bourbon and stir, strain into a Collins glass, add ice cubes and the bubbly! Garnish with the remaining mint leaves.

Champagne? Surely too classy for a mere Tuesday. Oh OK. I'm convinced. Hit me with another bar-tender.

It's never the wrong day for champagne! And here's to you my classy friend. I have missed you. Your site is one that Blogger refused to let me play with for a while and I have really missed you and have been thinking of you. I'm just pouring out my drink and now I'm going to sit back and catch up with all your posts to find out what has been going on.
It's good to be back xx

Dang! I wish we'd had this recipe the other night for Pierre's birthday. I had all the ingreds, but not the know-how. Ah well, Prosecco under the bridge. There's always next year. Hopefully.

Steve-here ya go, shunny...

Selina - Oh joyous day, you're back!! Great to see you, sorry your seat is a bit mussed up and silty but we've had a few problems going on since you last dropped by. Let me straighten your cushion, and when you're comfy we'll begin the story...

Louciao-you do know that we can celebrate the birthday again don't you? It doesn't mean you get older either!

Jennifer - hello and welcome! Sorry you had to tip some silt out of your glass before getting to the good stuff - we'r not always this bohemian but it does seem to work! :-)

To be honest, I'm not too crazy about whisky, had some bad experiences very early on which may have cured me for life of liking whisky... Can I get one with just the champagne ? Veuve Cliquot or Dom Perignon will do just fine...

BrOwen-of course, sir, no-one has to do anything they really don't want to do here on my blog! :-)
