Two words for you today....Champagne Sour.
I am going home tonight and am going to make myself one of these. If I'm a good girl, then I may well have another (yes, Old Cheeser, I'm a slow learner!). In case anyone wants to join me in this debauchery, take 1 sugar cube, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and plop into a champers glass. Top it up with bubbly. Relax and enjoy the un-wind that is known as FRIDAY!
I am away for work next week, hopefully by the time I get back I will have heard back from at least one of the many web designers I have contacted to get an upgrade of our work web site. It is in such a crappy state I am embarrassed by it. The boss has given me the job of finding someone to do this for us, so far I would have had more luck finding rocking horse shite!!

Champagne Sour? Hmm... that's a new one on me. Might have to give that a go sometime! I'm always up for a spot of debauchery! Enjoy your week off work.
ah Steve, brilliant sense of humour there...not a holiday I'm afraid. Am off to the pits of the north to wade about knee deep in blood and guts doing a safety audit at a meat plant. But a change is as good as a rest, apparently!
A safety audit at a meat plant? Wow. And I though I got all the horrible jobs. Poor you! Are you vegetarian by any chance? What are the odds of you turning into one if you're not?
Nah, I guess its a shame if the animals go thru all that and then no-one eats 'em! So me being a vegie would be about as much chance of me finding Jimmy Hoffa during the audit! Am carnivore thru and thru (altho to be honest I could only murder a lettuce myself)
I know what you mean... I quite often take a kitchen knife to the odd red pepper or two...
;-)
Good luck with finding someone to upgrade the website. Oddly enough I do know of a certain blogger by the name of Steve, whose speciality is designing websites...but perhaps I am saying too much?
The drink sounds lurvely. Might have to try some time too. However I'm immensely looking forward to sipping some capirinhas (gorgeous Brazilian drink) in just over a week's time on the beach in Rio...heh heh..
And I don't get why you're telling ME that you're a slow learner, Amanda? Am I something, pet?
Hi Cheeser, am now back from the depths of Dannevirke (more on that later)..I guess your tale of the night of vomit made me think perhaps we had something in common in the booze area! I did a course at the Polytech on Cocktail Mixology and will soon have the liver to prooe it! Enjoy Brazil.
By the way, being no stranger to the fine art of boozology...when in Brazil, you gotta try the Cachaca....(which is what I make my Caipirinha's with). You can also make/drink a RECIFE (a fruity elegant tangy drink for the evening, ahem) 2 and 3/4 ounces pineapple juice, 1 oz cachaca, 2/3 oz dark rum, 2 tspn tequila and a dash of orange bitters. Shake it up with ice (firmly please) and strain it into a highball glass. Top with crushed ice if you are faint hearted.
Stick with me, kid, I'll lead you astray every time!!
Hi, Sagi, It has been nice meeting you. Thankyou for leaving a comment on my blog. Always nice to meet new faces, & doubly so, if you are Kiwi! Give our love to christchurch. I do believe there has been mischief afoot there. What a shame, it is such a glorious city. I loved living there!
And with all this talk of good grog, I must go & have a wine!
A-haaaa, now I see! Yes you could be right m'dear. The cocktail mixology course sounds like a hoot though - in which case I rather think it's YOU that could teach me a thing or two!
Talking of cocktails and Brazil, I will hopefully be having lots of capirinhas! Ever tried one?
