Toddler found - Tuesday Tipple cancelled out of respect

Police have found wee Aisling Symes.

I have decided to not post a Tipple today.

Amanda, that is so awfully sad... I read the article but it doesn't seem very clear if they think it could have been simply a horrible accident, or whether something more sinister may have happened ?

Best wishes from all of us to all of you...

Unimaginably sad. At least the family has some small comfort in the outpouring of support from the public. One no doubt searches for any sort of comfort in the face of such an horrendous circumstance.

Love to you, Amanda.

geez I reckon we need a drink after that. Am glad no weirdo seems to be involved. But unbearably sad all the same.

Oh that is sad. It does sound as if could have been one of those horrible accidents. Poor parents. Poor everyone.

Like Pixie I think I need a drink now after hearing that. Maybe we could have a more sensible offering - not something dizzy like a cocktail - but a nice straight scotch or something?

Hi folks, thanks for all your lovely comments. I guess the media will now earn their crusts by dissecting the police handling of the case...You won't believe this but narry a drop of alcohol passed my lips! Maybe I'll have a Thirsty Thursday...

I had been following it all. I felt sure she had drowned, which sadly is the case. A terrible tragedy for the whole family.

I saw it on the news this morning, so sad, so devastating for absolutely everyone involved.
I hope the family can now get the privacy to mourn.

Hi Saj~ I was so afraid for that outcome. Thank God they did find her so that they would know. i can just see an active, curious two-year-old going out the door and peering into a drainpipe. Too, too awful.
