Tuesday Tipple

Today's toast goes to my relatives currently hunkering down semi-safely in Brisbane, especially my niece trapped in her house with 3 children aged under 4 years....am starting to wonder what our family has done to annoy Mother Nature (earthquakes..now floods!!) Anyway, one of the following should help take the edge off....

Brandy Zoom

1.5 ounces brandy
3/4 ounc light cream
2 tsp honey

Shake all the ingredients together, with ice cubes, in the shaker and strain into a cocktail glass.

Brandy and honey... sounds like a spiffing cure-all to me!

Yes, I have a friend in Brisbane too and she was really panicking yesterday. I haven't heard from her today but I guess she is probably asleep. Scary stuff.

I'll have one of those Brandy Zooms please.

Cheers!

I've donned my rubber boots in sympathy and have my glass at the ready. I'd like mine without honey, please...and maybe double the brandy? I mean, seeing as I'm late getting here I've got some catching up to do.

Oh, I've been talking too much and taking up too much comment box space apparently as the WV has just told me "oushetut" which I translate as "you shut it". I can take a hint.

I could have used this for my sick boyfriend freezing his butt of in Joshua Tree over the holidays!

PS. Now that I'm warmed up with the brandy, I just had a listen to Roger Hodgson. He's Supertramp! I used to love Supertramp! Still got an album up in the attic (something akin to bats). "Can you put your hands in your head? oh no!"

Even if it's already Thursday where you are, can I still claim a Tuesday Tipple ???

Say yes, oh please say yes...

I'm assuming there's still some brandly left, but that may be the wrong assumption, given that Lynne has been here twice already, and asking for double shots at that... oh dear, that'll teach me to be late...

Louciao-ah, sister Lou, such a picture in galoshes of the rubbery kind (am sure there are folks who pay for that sort of thing...)and yes, good ol' Supertramp. I still have the vinyl!!!

StickUp-oh yes, a bit of brandy and you won't care WHO is sick! (Or did you mean you'd give the drink to him???? :-)

Owen- no no there is still a bit lesft for you (sorry, it might have abit of lippy in it but as soon as I heard you were at the door I didn't drink what was left, honest!!

kj- yeah its been a shite year, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger (my dad told me that so am sure it's true, God rest him). It's been lovely having your comments here so in a way it has been worth it! Happy New year.

Selina - come on in, the party isn't quite ove ryet! Just give Owen a nidge to move over and wake him up (that Toady snoring is waking the neighbours...)
