Tuesday Tipple

A touch of Zam

22ml Sambuca
22ml Benedictine
22 ml Glayva
30 ml orange juice
15ml fresh lemon juice
ice

Pour all ingredients into shaker, shaaaaaaake, then strain into a serving glass, garnish with orange and lemon slices and there you have it, a drink worthy of swilling politely from a glass slipper near you....

OMG! Is it Tuesday already? Did I get abducted by aliens while away in Seattle and thus lost a day? Have I been in a coma? A drunken stupor? Nooo. It's still Monday here...I went and checked the date on the newspaper. Phew! I'm just back from Seattle and am terribly ill with a veddy bed head code. sniff sniff cough. A few of these Tuesday Tipples would do me wonders just now I have no doubt. Unfortunately, the hard stuff in the basement seems to have been emptied out in my absence! You wouldn't happen to know anything about this would you, Saj?

Louciao - ooh, Seattle! Were you sleepless? and as for your basement...um, I'd love to answer you but I forgot the question.
Hope you're feeling better soon tho', no fun having a head cold. here, drink this....

I don't know nushin, errr, nuthin' about no bashement...

Here in France it is just barely Tuesday, now, the wee hours of the morning. I guess they call them the "wee" hours, because after a hard night of tippling, one must at some point wee during those wee hours, before crawling off to bed.

Thanks for the drink and video from those rocking guys... I'd almost forgotten about Status Quo... not that I knew much to start with... my loss no doubt...

Hope your "drink this" cold remedy works wonders for the Louc... she wasn't sounding too good...

Happy Tuesday evening to you both !

I haven't got a glass slipper.

Can I quaff it from a flip-flop instead?

A flip flop Steve!

I'll take the Wellington Boot.

Flip flops or Wellington Boots ???(good for drinking in New Zealand I guess), but heck, you guys are wusses, I'll take a pair of hip waders to drink this out of... (a "wuss" being a distant cousin to a duck billed platypus, of course)

Now Amanda, I only just this minute noticed something in your profile I hadn't noticed before, don't know how long it's been there... but what on earth is this business about band camp and licking stamps ???!!!??? Sounds vaguely suspicious... I wonder if Lynne was at that same band camp also ????
:-D

PS my WV here is "pulla", like I'm a-gonna take a good long pulla my drink now...

Ah a bit of Status Quo to wake me up. That's good!

How do you drink from a flipflop I wonder? And what is Steve doing in the office in flipflops in late October. Well, well, . . .

Pour me a slipper or two, dear heart whilst I finish off my head-banging!

Right chaps - let's up the ante if I'm being considered a wuss! I'll fill up a big leather body boot and down it one! There - me challenge is laid down! Accept it if you will!

I want it understood that I have never been to band camp.

And what is all this about quaffing drinks from footwear?!

Good choice of Tuesday Tipple, Sag ! I need something to warm me up.

Dear Louc and Steve, clearly Amanda is probably quite appalled by all these rantings and ravings here in her comment box... no wonder she's laying low until it blows over... and Steve, I don't know what a leather body boot is, but I concede... you may claim victory, unless our Wellington boot friend comes up with better, I'll stick with the hip waders, that way I can wade in the punchbowl and slurp, and not bother with glasses...

Lynne, glad to hear you were not involved with the band camp, that sounded a little dicey to me...

PS WV is "lampluts", as in, "When ah staggered out o' de bar at four o'clock in the murnin', the lampluts were shinin' down, illuminating the alley...

I fear the Saj may have toppled into one of those leather body boots or hip waders and gotten herself well and truly pickled!

Or else she's off somewhere licking stamps...

WV:"weent" as in, "She weent oot to buy soom liquor boot she neever coom beck!"

Hi there y'all, I left the door open so I'm pleased you let yourselves in!

Sorry, have been away and had a few other things going on so that meant you had to drink alone. I am confident you managed - boots 'n all!
